What the Heck is Disasterbation® and How Do I Stop It?
Does this sound familiar…
Have you ever had a super cool idea and then completely convinced yourself that it was actually NOT a super cool idea?
Have you ever had a plan, and the more you thought about it, you somehow managed to convince yourself to NOT move forward with that plan?
That, my friends, is Disasterbation®!
Disasterbation® is a term that I came up with (okay, my husband helped a little) and is what happens when we are presented with a scenario and start to project a future possibility of that scenario. Sounds good, right? But then, something wild happens. Once we extrapolate our initial thought, we start projecting the next steps…eventually bringing us to an endpoint that brings us great stress. This is where we may even abort the plan altogether—ultimately putting us into Action Paralysis. As a Life Coach, I can tell you…it’s REAL!
Let’s break it down.
Disasterbation® is born from fear...fear of failure and also fear of success. This is where we invite the imposter syndrome into the plans—mix in our lack of confidence, and the fear of jumping into the unknown becomes crippling.

In my Disasterbation® program, we break down what happens when we disasterbate and understand how Disasterbation stifles our deepest desires. Learn some strategies to combat Disasterbation and move forward with intentional ACTION in all areas of your life.
This program consists of Journaling Discovery Sessions to investigate WHY we disasterbate and WHAT effects disasterbation has on our lives. We will discover WHEN and WHERE in our lives we sabotage our possible successes. Then, I will introduce you to some strategies on HOW to stop disasterbating so you can move powerfully in all areas of your life.
